LOS TULIPANES
Not only places high in our ranking for the prettiest restaurant, for lunch or dinner, it also has a good daily breakfast buffet that is reasonably priced for what you get. The setting is one of the most romantic in Playa. This place is a must visit, with great food! Los Tulipanes also offers a dinner buffet on Wed. and Sun. The jungle setting is so beautiful, complete with a small freshwater cenote featuring a rustic stone walk so you can walk down and take a look.

mysterious touch to this already wonderful spot.

LIMONES INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT SEAFOOD AND FLAMBE

Is a bit expensive, but once you step inside and stroll down the stairs into this beautiful spot, you’ll most likely forget about price. For romance and atmosphere, Limones is very hard to beat, though the food can be quite inconsistent at times. Featuring seafood, steaks, salads and Mayan cuisine, you’ll never forget your visit to this tropical setting and restaurant. Down a stone stairway from street level, the restaurant is a series of connected rooms placed in an absolutely beautiful jungle setting with stone floors.

MANDARINAS CAFÉ
Is also in the running for prettiest setting and has excellent pizza, pasta and seafood. Some nights, though, it can be buzzing with activity and a little loud. They will deliver to your hotel, too. RESTAURANTE EL JAGUAR
Is a gorgeous spot for a romantic meal. A block off the beach, the seating areas are on two levels with a small pool in the middle and palms, bougainvillea and other jungle vegetation cascading down from the balconies above. The menu is small but they specialize in excellent shrimp and seafood dishes. Try the tasty “white wine shrimp”. El Jaguar is perfect. ( 5 av. norte and calle 8 norte ) - $$

100% NATURAL
Is a chain restaurant, but it’s a beautiful spot with exceptional food. A lush tropical setting, water features, and a warm atmosphere place this with the most romantic restaurants for dinner in all of Playa. Also open for breakfast and lunch. PELICANO
In the Pelicano Hotel is on the more casual side, but along with having a nice breakfast and lunch, this is a wonderful, romantic spot for a moonlit, candlelight dinner on the beach.
