WOMEN'S SWIMSUIT SELECTION
[ Back to TOC]

The women’s swimsuit selection isn’t stellar in Isla, but if you happen to have lost a suit or left it on the beach for reasons we won’t ask, these suggestions may help in a pinch.

AVENUE JUAREZ (between Avenue Madero and Morelos)
Along this street you will find many small shops that are a step above the norm. We hesitate to mention them individually because you never know when some may come and go, but this quiet street offers some of Isla’s best shopping. We’ll discuss this area more in depth in a bit, but the selection of women’s swimwear and suits here is pretty good.

MUNICIPAL MARKET (MERCADO MUNICIPAL)
Attached to the south wall of the telecom building are 4 little local restaurants in a row. Right next to these, are 4 small cluttered shops that carry a good selection of, among other things, decent women’s beach wraps and swimsuits. The merchandise is often scattered and disorganized, but the selection can be good if you’re willing to search and really need a suit. (Guerrero between Mateos and Matamoros) - $
